The Eagles said in their song the Last Resort, “We can leave it all behind and sail to Lahaina..” Only one problem we can no longer escape from the effect MAN is having on our planet. Daily reports are tell us about the foods we eat, the pollution we breathe, and the un-do amount of stress are putting on ourselves and our children.
So why don’t we stop? Why don’t we take our foot off the gas and coast to a slower pace of existence and reality?
The answer is very simple we don’t consider the past as a gift we were given. The shift from a consumer society to a gift society is not something new, the Native American’s consider all life a gift. James Cameron weaved this messagee into the blockbuster movie Avatar. But none have put a better finger on the idea then Charles Eisenstein in his short Sacred Economics. I encourage you to watch his short, and share it with those you love. Only by thinking as one can we the Human Race over-come the challenges of the future.
